There is one update to WhatsApp version for iPhone with 2 new features. First is the facility to see videos in a chat directly and second is the lock recording. Through lock recording, one can tape a voice message without clutching the key down.
Remarkably, the YouTube feature is presented with Picture-in-Picture (PiP) mode. This enables the users to continue seeing the video in a minimized window while they navigate to another conversation. The new WhatsApp v2.17.81 application for iPhone is accessible now for download through the App Store. All the changes are detailed in the section What’s New. The description of App Store mentions, “When you receive a link to a YouTube video, you can now play it right within WhatsApp. With picture-in-picture, you can also keep watching the video while you navigate to another chat.”
Previously, when the link was clicked by the user, it would open the YouTube video in the YouTube application installed on the devices. Nevertheless, this feature is yet not activated on the application even though it is stated in the App Store change record already.
The newest update can also assist you to tape long messages easily. The description mentioned, “Want to easily record long Voice Messages? When recording a Voice Message, just swipe up to lock recording so you can continue to record without keeping your finger down.”
This feature of recording lock has been enabled already in the WhatsApp and can be accessed by users after updating the app. In a new Android update, as per WABetaInfo, WhatsApp is also said to be functioning on a new feature. The new feature will enable users to rapidly switch to video call from voice call without putting off the voice call is ongoing. However, the receiver will be able to decline the upcoming video call if he/she wants.
The report added, “WhatsApp is also attempting a feature that will let the users mute a video directly.” The instant messaging service has an active user base of more than 200 Million in India and about 1.2 Billion users across the world.
